The Blessed Curse

Audio

Hi my name is CC Arshagra and I want to share a story with you about how an emotional child can be broken by what is called rote learning and what rote learning is is that you go to school and uh they give you a one and a plus sign and a two and you give them back a three and they pat you on the head and you're on your way to being educated uh on on on how to learn but by doing what you're told it doesn't give room for thinking feeling or questioning and that at the a at the in second grade is what broke me.

I had a wonderful kindergarten teacher. I wanted to marry my first grade teacher but in second grade that all came to a crashing Halt and uh back in the standing on uh writing on the Blackboard standing against the wall putting a sign around your neck I was humiliated and basically my self-esteem was destroyed for life.

I came in life to understand this section of my life as the Blessed curse because the things that break you in life are the things that make you stronger so you can't give up and in the end that war in your head that war with life that last stage of you overcoming that is that you have to stop that war within yourself the final war is between your left and right ear.

That's when your life will begin so uh as a sensitive child I ended up making it all the way to seventh grade with this kind of uh internal uh dumbing down of myself I compounded it as a child because of unconditional love probably and as a sensitive I couldn't take it anymore.

And so I went out and I found this paper route and another paper route and there were three of them and they're all together and I took those three paper roots and I made them into one at the age of 13.

And I had 95 dailies every morning 120 Sundays which know right through the winter and I ended up making money and then one day I went to the bank and uh and the money was gone and I game home I said Dad, Dad the money's  gone.

He goes to me the lights are on. People love that story so anyway I took that money and on my own without my parents because they said they couldn't afford to get me into the ninth grade tuition based uh High School um.

I paid my own way and uh and I was only a child and I did that on my own.

Wow CC that is amazing and just an amazing experience and thank you for sharing that personal story and CC has other good stories on this channel, so we hope you'll take a listen to see what happens to him next.
