Confidence Regained

00:00

How do you regain your confidence when you feel it slipping away, right out the window?

There’s a woman who had lost her confidence in her early 20s. She felt inadequate, and she felt she was a failure. When she joined in in conversations, she felt that the words she had to contribute were not worth speaking at all, that she had nothing to say.

She was a married woman, and she gave birth to twins. At the same time she had the twins, her father also came down with dementia.

So she went from a life where she had all the time in the world to think about herself, to a life when she had no time. She was busy from sunrise to sunset taking care of her twins and her father.

After 5 years, and the kids finally went to school, and she had a little time, she started to think about it, and she realized that she had no time anymore to think about the fact that she had problems. Her problems were all in her mind. They never existed in the first place.

Keeping busy, focusing on somebody else, helped her regain her confidence.
