A friend called me this morning, and was really upset about
something that was going on in his life,
something that he could not control the outcome,
as far as what was going to happen with this particular thing.
He thought he was losing his house. He was not paying his bills.
In fact, he had the money to pay his bills, but he just chose
to spend his money on something else.
This is a big thing for him, a scary thing for him about
where he is going to live, and what is going to happen.
If I can’t have my property, I don’t want to be here anymore.
Just take a pause here for a moment. You are more than your stuff.
You are so much more than your stuff. God has a plan for your life.
I am a woman of faith, a big believer in God.
And God has a plan for me, and God has a plan for you.
It also had been shared with me that when we are really
uncomfortable with something, and we are so uncomfortable,
it’s a good time for us to grow and to expand, and
trust what is next for us on our journey.
And whatever the outcome may be, we can have the
freedom to choose a different thought, to choose a
different feeling about what is happening,
lean towards trust, and faith, and it’ll be okay - being calm, and staying hopeful.
And when we make choices, you know there are always
consequences in life to the choices we make,
but it doesn’t mean that after the consequence happens,
that we can’t now choose another direction to head,
and have more joyful consequences, and a more joyful outcome in our futures.
Just remember, our thoughts and attitude towards whatever is
going on are vitally important, but more than that, you are vitally important.
